Country Retreat

Bethesda Place, an organization benefiting individuals with developmental disabilities, brings you this country home. Just outside of the city limits of Hays, you can see all of the stars on our 36-acre land. During the Spring and Summer, the land flourishes with flowers and our produce growing in our many gardens, and in the winter enjoy a wood burning stove. Inside our cozy little retreat, you will find yourself feeling like you never left home with our comfortable and welcoming amenities. This 3 bedroom, one bath old farm home is located at the entrance of our tree nursery, providing you easy access from I-70 and privacy, as well as a unique opportunity to see the men who own and operate this agricultural non-profit at work in their element if you so desire. Someone will be available if you would like to schedule a tour of the property and learn more about our organization. The Retreat at Bethesda is located only 2 minutes off of I-70 exit 157. We are within walking distance to the Ellis County Fairgrounds and the RPM speedway. We are less than a 2 minute drive from the Bickle-Schmidt sports complex and 5 minutes to FHSU campus. This home provides a unique opportunity to "get away from it all" and be close to all the action for whatever event is bringing you to or through Hays. We have an assigned outdoor parking spot for you and there is no public transportation from our retreat. There is a pool available seasonally but it is shared with our residents and neighbors. No life guard on duty and pool rules are listed in the welcome manual. So come join the party! Firewood for the wood burning stove is provided seasonally but we request you only operate the stove if you feel comfortable doing so.
