OLD MILL CABIN 1925 - HIGH TATRAS with FREE SAUNA

Built in 1925, this wooden cabin was initially used as a mill and then went through several renovations to become a cozy home for every guest it hosted. The house is nestled in the woods with ample privacy and is accessible by car. Wood is from floor to ceiling offering guests a true cabin experience. Whatever your trip includes, here at Old Mill Cabin you can find the comfort of home while enjoying the scenic High Tatras and taking in the sounds of wildlife and nature. The house is nestled in the woods with ample privacy and is accessible by car. There is enough room to park at least 6 cars outside the cabin. We have resident wildlife - foxes, deer and even bears have been seen meandering around the cabin, so keep your eyes open. Wood is from floor to ceiling offering guests a true cabin experience. The house is spacious and can fit up to 12 people in which makes it ideal for a barbecue party, a friends’ weekend, a couple private retreat or a big family vacation. The area around our cabin features some splendid natural areas. Two recommended popular attractions close by to Veľká Franková are Slovak Paradise National Park and Krynica-Zdroj. Belianska Cave, 40 km away, is another excellent spot to unwind in the outdoors (ask us for a shortcut ;)). Interested in swinging by Cerveny Klastor Monastery and Pieniny National Park? They're close to Spišské Hanušovce, 5 km to the east. Alternatively, head to Jezersko. It's 12 km to the southeast of Veľká Franková and well-known for the Ždiar House Museum and Bachledka Ski and Sun. Spring and summer months offer hiking, canoeing, boating, cycling, horse riding; winters will steal the show with skiing and snowboarding, sledging and nordic walking while the fall foliage could make National Geographic jealous. If you’re planning a vacation here, don’t forget your camera. On the ground floor you can find a big kitchen (loaded with all the amenities you need) with wood burning stove plus dining area, a bathroom, a utility room and a cozy living room with a fireplace which can be flexibly converted into bedroom (4 people). There is a loft conversion upstairs that consists of two bedrooms which can accommodate 8 people. Guest access You will have access to all buildings of the property which includes the Main Cabin, the Party House with Sauna, and the Summer House. I am available when needed, however, the cabin is all to the guests. The cabin is located in the forest, so no one will be bothering you and you will keep your privacy on the 100%. The neighborhood around is just sounds of the birds, foxes and deer ;) There is a parking lot next to the cabin. Also, you can come by bus, but you have to ask the driver to stop on the second bridge between the Velka and Mala Frankova. Cabin Policies Check In/Out Precedures Upon your booking confirmation, you will receive the detailed address and directions to the property. When you arrive, the lights will be on and you will be welcomed and shown around the cabin. The check-in time is 3 PM, check-out is at 10 AM the latest. Safety deposit and refund There is a safety deposit due at the time of reservation. If everything is left as it should be when you check out (nothing is lost, broken, extra dirty, etc.), you should expect your full deposit to be refunded within two business days after you check out. Cleaning Please do not wear shoes in the house (use slippers or extra socks), clean dishes and gas stove top if used, do not leave any leftover food in the house, put trash in the kitchen trash bin (when full, you can leave the bags outside in the Summer House). Linen All bedding is provided (sheets, pillow covers, duvet covers).Bath towels are not included. Fire safety Lighting the fire is a festive way to create a warm and calming environment. To ensure that everyone has a safe and enjoyable time at our wooden cabin, there are a few things to keep in mind. Always be sure that the fire gate is in place when a fire is burning. Keep an extra eye on children and be sure that they do not play too close to the fire and that they are never left alone near it. Be sure that the fire is completely out before everyone goes to bed or leaves the house. Never leave a candle burning unattended and, if you're going to be stepping away from the candle for several minutes, it's safer to blow it out rather than risk a potential hazard. Smoking Guests are permitted to smoke outside or in the Summer House but not indoors. Think tidy: please dispose of cigarette butts properly. Pets Bring your furry friend with you on the trip of a lifetime as pets are welcome at our cabin. Please note that pets are not allowed on beds or furnishings.
