Weekly Saturday-Saturday Summer Rentals This charming Harbor-side home is located in a pristine Maine community of private homes and cottages, numerous coastal activities, landmarks, beaches and parks. Multi-week rentals welcome when available. We look forward to hearing from you! Country style living right on New Harbor. Fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, grill, three large separate living and sitting areas. TV, DVD player, Bose CD player/radio, and Internet. Ideal for families with children or two to three couples. The property faces New Harbor, a charming base for viewing lobster boats and private sailboats. Swim in the nearby cove that is fed by pure spring water or savor the sunset from the dock. The great lawn extends all the way down to the dock, ideal for launching kayaks or your own boat. The back of the property is private with a rear patio. Guests can access the entire house, the front yard and the back yard. There are three places the guest will not be able to access which are the garage, the small storage shed in the back yard, and the separate residence. Although, the cottage is physically attached to the residence of the owners who are available for any advice or assistance regarding New Harbour, each house has entirely separate entrances that are completely private and out of view from each other. A family member is usually available to help out from the main house adjacent to the rental property. The property is located on the heritage home of Suzy, who is a 6th generation "Mainer" as well as a Great Grandma. One of her kids (all adults) come visit her from all across the U.S. over the short summers. The houses are exceptionally private and separate offering real privacy for our guests. Our home is located at the top of a great lawn directly facing New Harbor. The bottom of the lawn leads directly to our private boat dock which juts out into the harbor. The small road in front of the house is a perfect walking loop around to the Rachel Carson Preserve in Round Pond. It is also just a two- minute walk to Shaws Fish and Lobster Wharf where you can dine on the top deck to view the incoming lobster boats and various working and pleasure craft of the harbor. Or order your own lobsters -- literally fresh off the boat (either cooked or alive). You will find delightful Maine waterfront views of the islands, bay, and Atlantic to remember for a lifetime. Heading up the hill in the opposite direction you will find Reilly's grocery store ( a ten minute walk) with it's own delicatessen, wine and cheese shop and all the amenities you may require while on vacation. And of course, enjoy an ice-cream cone at Puffin's Ice cream shop. Should you wish to drive, rest assured you are never far-away from close proximity to all of the Pemaquid Peninsula amenities and attractions. Damariscotta is the largest town, about a 20 minute drive which you pass through to get to New Harbor. It has a large grocery stores, restaurants, movie theater, cafe's, etc. Damariscotta is also a nice stop if traveling to any of the other coastal cities during your stay. A car is recommended, though the wonderfully tiny town of New Harbor is just a short-walk from the house.
