Namaste, Sara The house is located in a small and typical village surrounded of an amazing view to the Montemuro Mountain. The silent of nature invite you to feel relaxed. Full access to the all house Baião is in the distric of Porto, and has the largest percentage of green areas and forests of all district. Is also located close to cities classified from UNESCO: - 70 Km from Oporto, the second most important city of Portugal. - 60 Km from Guimarães, which has a significant historical importance due to the role it played in the foundation of Portugal. The city is often referred to as the "birthplace of the Portuguese nationality" or "the cradle city". Its historic town centre is listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2001. - 40 Km from Régua, famous for "Port Wine". The city was develloped only to begin after 1756 with the creation of the Real Companhia Geral da Agricultura das Vinhas do Alto Douro (Royal Company of Vine-Growers from the Alto Douro Region), which set up the world's first ever demarcated region for wine production. In the proximities between 15 and 80 Km the guests can also visit other locals of interest. - Marco de Canaveses distance of 12 kms. Here it is possible to visit the archeologic zone of Tongobriga, exemples of romanic arquitechture or the chapel by the arquitech Siza Vieira - 30 Km from Penafiel - a 30 Km from Amarante, where is located a golf camp and an aquatic park. - a 80 Km from Braga, city with more then 2000 years of History, founded by the romans with the name "Bracara Augusta". It is the third-largest urban centre in PortugaI, after Lisbon and Oporto. It is host to the oldest Portuguese archdiocese of the Roman Catholic Church and it is the seat of the Primate Archbishop of Portugal. To arrive here by public transports the easy way is to take the train from Oporto (São Bento) and enjoy the journey along the river Douro. It takes you 1h15 minutes to arrive at Mosteirô.
