Papa Frank's Wine House

Our charming, spacious guest house is located between the oldest Slovenian city Ptuj (10min) and second largest Slovenian city Maribor (30min). It is surrounded by vineyards and nature so it offers a perfect accommodation for families and couples (+group of couples) to enjoy calmness and fresh air, hiking trails, cycling and discovering Roman city Ptuj. Because of its convenient location is also suitable for daily (both summer and winter) trips to many of major nearby cities. Our guest house is completely renovated - new kitchen, new bathroom... Parking is available in front of the house for free. Ground floor: Bathroom: shower with hot water, towels, hair dryer, toilet paper,... Kitchen: oven, refrigerator with freezer, microwave, water heater, cookware, flatware, glasses... In the kitchen you can find salt, pepper and some other spices, cooking oil, coffee, cereal... Common/dinning space: dinning table, chairs, couch, fireplace, tv, 2.1 speakers, some playing cards and games... Terrace: big table, benches, couch, refrigerator. Outside by the house, there is also a barbeque and a nice place with a fire pit. First floor: Big room: 2 single beds, 1 king bed, 1 couch (possible bed), closets. (4 people + additional 2) Small room: king bed, closet. (2people) House also has vine cellar and it's off access, but if you want to taste some vine, we can arrange something. The house is all yours, so you are able to acces all the places listed (2 bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, common space with dinning table and tv, terrace, fire pit... Basicly everything exept the cellar - where we keep our vine. I’m available for any further help and information if you would need them. If I have free time I am also willing to show you around . In the Late Iron Age it was settled by Celts. By the 1st century BC, the settlement was controlled by Ancient Rome as part of the Pannonian province. In 69 AD, Vespasian was elected Roman Emperor by the Danubian legions in Ptuj, and the first written mention of the city of Ptuj is from the same year. Poetovium was the base-camp of Legio XIII Gemina where it had its legionary fortress or castrum. The name originated in the times of Emperor Trajan, who granted the settlement city status and named it Colonia Ulpia Traiana Poetovio in 103. Roman games in Ptuj - august. Reviving two thousand years old Roman story, based on the mightiest period in the history of the oldest Slovenian town. Poli cycling marathon Ptuj - june. More than 4,000 people every year test their abilities in three tracks with different levels of difficulty. Pools of energy (Bazeni energije), Water park Terme Ptuj - july. Also the tourist tax is 1€ per day per person, and its payable on your arrival.
