Cottage Lily of the Valley Bath & Bristol close by

The cottage are only a few minutes’ drive from places of interest like Bath, Bristol, Wells, Cheddar Gorge and the Mendip Hills. Even the famous Cotswolds are only a 30 minute drive away. With many walks to choose from directly from the cottage it is also the perfect spot for nature lovers who would like to leave the car. The cottages are a within walking distance from Keynsham trainstation (free parking close by) and the town centre with lots of pubs, restaurants, shops and supermarkets. You will have the use of the entire cottage, parking and part of the gardens. You will get a code to access the gate and cottage so you can come and go as you please. The cottage is part of Parkhouse Farm, but is separated from the main house where we live. You will have total privacy but if you need us for anything, we are there to help. The cottage offers a good size double bedroom with wardrobe and en-suite bathroom with a shower/bath, toilet and a open plan kitchen and living area.The cottage is flooded with light from the French doors’ openings overlooking the garden. The cosy sitting room has a comfy sofa, good size flat screen TV with Freeview and possibility to sign in on your Netflix or BBC iPlayer account and WiFi. The kitchen is well equipped with fridge/freezer, cooker and a combination microwave, oven and grill, kettle and toaster. A good amount of larder supplies will be provided as well as all crockery, cutlery and glassware etc. The private and enclosed garden has a table and chairs and a BBQ. Dogs are very welcome. Baby cot, high chair and toys are available on request. You will have the use of the entire cottage, parking and part of the gardens. You will get a code to access the gate and a code for the key to your cottage so you can come and go as you please. The preferred check in times are any time after 3pm and check out time is 10am but this can be flexible with prior arrangement. Hop on a train to Bristol Temple Meads in a mere eight minutes or to Bath in about 10 minutes, Keynsham is ideally situated in between these two beautiful cities. And yet just on the doorstep to famous Cotswolds, Cheddar Gorge, Wells with its gorgeous Cathedral and the Mendip Hills. Keynsham, formerly home to the Cadbury factory and - according to a local legend - the place where a certain St Keyna saved the locals by killing serpents in the fifth century, Keynsham is a pretty little town which has plenty to offer visitors and day trippers. What you first notice about Keynsham is how green it is. You can see hills and woods from wherever you are in the town, and there are plenty of beautiful walks to enjoy at any time of the year. Following the River Chew south out of the town, the footpath takes you through the woods and fields of the valley, to neighbouring villages such as the lovely Compton Dando, Woolard and Publow. Following the river in the opposite direction to where it joins River Avon, the woodland walk takes you to the Bristol suburbs of Broomhill and Brislington. Pick up the cycle path in the other direction and you end up in the Roman city of Bath, via the picturesque Saltford. Whichever route you take, there are miles and miles of rolling hills, golden fields and fluffy sheep to spot, as well as good pubs to take a break in.
