The Old Gasworks is a detached, three bedroom, fully restored, spacious cottage, a short stroll from the center of the picturesque village of Milverton near Taunton. If you're looking for a peaceful location where you can relax in beautiful surroundings this is the place for you! The famous north and south coasts are easily accessible as well as are Exmoor and the beautiful Quantock hills. Very comfortable cottage with central heating. Two rooms have zip and link beds which can be separated on request. The third room has a small double bed. Plenty of parking in the traditional walled courtyard. There is also a large grassed area and patio. A selection of board games, books, baking equipment and DVDs, are provided for your indoor entertainment. We also have a range of outdoor games, including badminton, table tennis and traditional wooden family games. You will have full use of the house, courtyard and garden. Please let us know if you would like a secure lock up for your bicycles. Key is a keysafe with a combination. Make yourselves at home. The hosts are sometimes available but can always be contacted by phone. You will love Milverton! It's a traditional friendly village with a pub, post office and open all hours local shop. There is also a beautiful church and a community hall which often has events going on. It's great for walking and nature is everywhere including Grisly the pony next door. Exmoor and the Quantock hills (as well as two lovely reservoirs) are very close and the North and South coasts are an easy drive away. The horizontal boutique town of Wellington is 3 miles away and has 3 decent supermarkets and a lovely converted theater as a cinema cira 1937. Taunton and Exeter are very easy to get to from the M5. There is a guide in the cottage to local attractions such as horse riding, golf, children's entertainment and recommendations of where to eat. Milverton is easy 15 minutes max from the motorway, and there is a regular bus service to the historic town of Wiveliscombe and Taunton. Great area for easy (cycle route 3) and challenging cycling (Exmoor). To access all the fun things to do we recommend sturdy footware and outdoor clothing suitable for countryside and beach.
