Welcome to our place in the beautiful Highlands! A private annex for up to 4 people - perfect for 2 couples, a group of friends or family. The annex has 2 bedrooms (one double and 1 twin) plus a sunroom. Each bedroom has its own private shower/toilet facilities. There's no kitchen, but there are excellent eateries nearby for dining out. We're perfectly located for visiting Loch Ness, Urquhart Castle, Glen Affric, on the Great Glen Way & en-route to Skye! Just 20 mins drive from Inverness The annex has its own entrance and you will be our only guests so you will have the whole place to yourselves. There is Wifi available which works best from the conservatory and there is free off-road parking. Our cute place sleeps a maximum of four people in 2 bedrooms. Both rooms have their own en-suite shower room with toilet and you will have a conservatory so you can sit and enjoy time together - perhaps with a drink and a game of cards! **Please note** there is NO kitchen but you will find cutlery, plates and glasses if you want to bring your own 'ready to eat' food and drinks or you can get a takeaway to eat in the conservatory. The double room has a small fridge and you will find tea & coffee making facilities and a kettle in each of the rooms. For eating out locally we recommend Loch Ness Inn which is located just down the road, it offers great food and we also have the popular Fiddlers Restaurant in the village plus a few more Cafes on the Square. Also Cafe 82 (seasonal) is around 5-10 minutes walk and is excellent for breakfast. There is also a Scotmid supermarket - a few minutes walk away for essentials. We have very high cleaning standards and with COVID-19 still around we will be carrying out extra cleaning precautions after guests leave to ensure your safety. You will have sole use of Elmbank and you can come and go as you please. There is an outdoor seating area with table and chairs for when the sun shines (it does happen at times!). There are lovely places to enjoy meals nearby. **Please note** this accommodation does not include a kitchen OR cooking facilities, however there are plates etc in the conservatory and a fridge so you can certainly bring your own ready to eat food. We live in the main house next door. Garry works full time and I work part-time and run Rooms at Elmbank. We will be around but during COVID-19 we will keep our distance! Check in instructions will be given and we are happy to give advice. Having lived in the area all our lives we know the area well and are happy to help you with your plans if you would like us to. We are here if you need us and are not if you don't! Elmbank is located in the small village of Lewiston in Drumnadrochit in the heart of the Highlands. We are perfectly located for exploring Loch Ness and Inverness or for a day trip to Skye. You will find us on a pretty street with some smaller traditional cottages and some larger detached villas, these were the workers houses for the nearby estate. We are in a valley and surrounded by fields and hills. We are very lucky to have some excellent eateries nearby. The Loch Ness Inn has a fantastic reputation and is located a few minutes walk away at the end of our road. Also Fiddlers restaurant further along in the village - around 15/20 mins walk is a popular choice - in summer it has an outdoor fish and chip van so you can enjoy the atmosphere outside. Cafe Eighty Two is our recommendation for lunch or coffee and homemade cakes - again it has a superb reputation locally. Within a few miles of Elmbank you will find Urquhart Castle (15 mins walk) Loch Ness (and of course Nessie), Divach waterfall and the Loch Ness Exhibition Centre too. We are perfectly located for a visit to the Isle of Skye. Many guests use us as a base for a day trip to Skye or stop with us en-route if they plan a longer visit. We are a few hundred yards from the A82, a main road from Inverness to Fort William then on to Glasgow (and on a bus route) and the Capital of the Highlands, Inverness is a 20/30 minute drive away. Loch Ness is not easily accessible by foot from Drumnadrochit, however it is not far in the car to reach it. We are ideally placed for a trip to Skye and many visitors stop with us to break up their journey with a visit to Loch Ness/Urquhart Castle on their way to Skye. It is not essential to have your own transport to stay here, we have had many guests that have used the local bus service, but to fully experience the area we would recommend exploring by car/bike. Our accommodation sleeps a strict maximum of 4 people (this includes children and babies). You are welcome to eat food on the premises but please only in the conservatory area. Food is not allowed in the bedrooms and no cooking of any description is permitted on the premises. This includes NO boiling of eggs in kettles please. Strictly no smoking inside any area of the annex. Smokers are welcome to use the area outside the conservatory on the patio area where an ashtray is provided. Please note our check in/out times are strict i.e please arrive by 10pm and leave by 10am as we need to get cleaning complete in time for set down.
