EAST SIDE PROVIDENCE VICTORIAN
Our home is a classic Victorian: roomy, light, comfortable. There are sitting rooms galore and the modern kitchen has ample space for cooking and eating. Bathrooms are also updated/redone. The small patio is perfect for drinks/dinner outside and we have a nice wrap around porch for al fresco eating, etc. Our house is in one of Providence's great neighborhoods. Total walkability to Hope Street shops, bakeries, etc. Right by a bus stop but an easy walk to Brown and RISD if walking is preferred to transit. Five minute drive to Whole Foods, ten minute walk to the beautiful Blackstone Boulevard for walks and much more. We are also near highway entrances for easy trips to Newport, the south county beaches as well as trips to Boston and the Cape. Guests have lots of room in our spacious home. Laundry facilities in the renovated basement, enough outdoor space to play ball and sit for drinks and al fresco dining on the patio or porch, bedrooms all on the second floor and sitting rooms, a beautiful den and a modern eat-in kitchen with marble counters. Very modern 1.5 bathrooms make this a charming historic home with all the modern conveniences. We love to cook so guests will find a fully-stocked kitchen. We will be traveling but always available by text. We believe in treating people well whether we are staying in their homes or welcoming them into ours. Hope Village is one of the East Side's most popular neighborhoods and guests will see why. Everything is close by and yet it never feels rushed or congested. Great pastries, a CVS, a wonderful wine store, you name it. A stone's throw from the house is one of our community libraries. If you time the traffic right, you can be in Boston in 55 minutes. We are also surrounded by beaches and mountains -- north for a hiking day trip or south to a beach. But truly Providence offers enough and we haven't even mentioned the surrounding neighborhoods of Wayland Square, Fox Point, and the Brown/RISD area of restored 18th and 19th century homes! We are right by the bus line -- 5 minutes away at most. We have a parking space for our guests. A stone's throw from the house is a great library. But it is truly just one aspect of a great and very popular neighborhood in our convenient but cosmopolitan city. If you time the traffic right, you can be in Boston in 55 minutes. We are also surrounded by beaches and mountains -- north for a day trip or south to a beach. But truly Providence offers enough!
