“The Regency Apartment” is an impressive historic apartment with private parking and WIFI, situated in the small riverside town of Upton-upon-Severn. The elegant first floor apartment has been recently modernised to a high standard. Our extensive cleaning programme, guarantee that we will leave at least 24 hours between guests and lock-box entry, will ensure that you can relax in the knowledge that we have put your health and safety first. The spacious apartment has every facility, including a dining table and a large antique desk in the bedroom - the perfect environment for working from home. In sunny weather the large communal south facing garden is ideal for relaxing and enjoying a picnic, or a glass of wine. Upton-upon-Severn is a delightful, friendly town idyllically located on the banks of the river Severn where the tranquil countryside provides the opportunity for quiet walks, fishing, picnics and exploration. The little town has a variety of restaurants, coffee shops and pubs, many offering take-away menus and large al fresco dining and drinking areas. The spacious accommodation has everything you need for a comfortable holiday, including a compact, well equipped kitchen and even a bottle of bubbly in the fridge! Conveniently situated between the Malvern Hills and the Cotswolds, Upton-upon-Severn is close to stunning countryside and a wealth of picturesque towns and villages. The abundance of idyllically situated benches all along the river banks, provides many perfect areas for picnics, soaking up the sun and watching the wildlife. If you want to get away from it all, but also benefit from the convenience of small shops and restaurants, Upton-upon-Severn is a jewel of a town and the perfect place for a relaxing, magical weekend, or a longer retreat. Upton-upon-Severn has built its reputation on, not only its picturesque river and Marina, but its quirky shops, pubs and restaurants. Upton is also renowned for its 4 exciting music festivals - Folk, Jazz, Blues and Rock. Close to the Four Counties Showground, Upton is also extremely convenient for all the Malvern shows including the very popular Spring and Autumn events. Cheltenham race course is also easily reached down the M5 motorway. The beautiful period apartment, with its graceful rooms and high ceilings, benefits from a large open-plan living room/kitchen with a range of stylish kitchen units, sofa bed, TV and dining area. The large bay windows offer a delightful glimpse of the Malvern Hills. The kitchen area has a dishwasher, 2 ring ceramic hob, fridge, combination microwave/oven, toaster, kettle and coffee maker. The gracious bedroom, with en-suite shower room, provides a double bed, large wardrobe and spacious antique desk, ideal to use as a quiet work space. The property benefits from the use of a large communal south facing garden with a wooden bench and table and chairs. Parking for one vehicle is available behind the house. Upton-upon-Severn offers a diverse selection of excellent restaurants, pubs, coffee shops and take-aways, catering for all tastes and pockets. There are also two small, but well stocked supermarkets, a laundrette, a post office and butchers, in addition to an interesting variety of antique, craft and gift shops. The interesting and well stocked map shop and our very own Apothecary are particular features of the High Street. The Pepperpot Heritage Centre and Museum add to the attractions of the town. The park offers a state of the art children's play area, football pitches, a tennis and basket ball court and skate board ramp and is situated just behind the house. A ten minute drive takes you high up onto the Malvern Hills where you can marvel at some of the most spectacular views in England. Much loved by walkers and hikers, Malvern has so much to offer - the Three Counties Showground, an outstanding theatre, the Morgan Sports Car factory, a golf course and many unusual shops and restaurants. Cheltenham Spa, the beautiful capital of the Cotswolds, is a 20 minute drive down the M5. Many pretty historic villages and waterside towns, such as Tewkesbury, Ledbury, Leominster and Worcester are all on the doorstep, accessed speedily via the motorway or through rolling countryside. This part of Worcestershire is dotted with golf courses, many with wonderful views. For those keen anglers, there are numerous designated fishing locations along the Severn Way leading out of Upton, many with steps and platforms for easy access, yet in quiet and peaceful surroundings. The Severn Way, a path which follows the Severn from its source in Wales right through to the Bristol channel, leads along the river in Upton and provides an ideal starting point for many gentle walks, or longer ones for those with more stamina, to Tewkesbury, Worcester and further afield.
