Pets are welcome, without additional fee if under 25 pounds. We ask that pets be kenneled if left in the guesthouse, and leashed if being walked on the property. Pivo, our 9-yo PomChi, who lives in the adjacent main house, is friendly and welcomes friends. Guests can spend the day in historic Bath's museums, visitor center, the restored Palmer-Marsh and Bonner Houses, and Blackbeard's old stomping grounds! The ferry to Aurora's Dinosaur Fossil Museum is 30 minutes by ferry. The ferry to Ocracoke and the Outer Banks is a 45 minute drive. Bath, NC was incorporated in 1705. It was the first port, the first Capital, and the home of the famous pirate, Blackbeard. Historic Bath, just off Hwy 264, the main road to the Outer Banks of NC, is 122 miles east of Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill. Tryon Palace in New Bern is 52 miles. The ports of Norfolk and Wilmington are a day trip.
