The birthplace and home of the late renowned Hawkes Bay architect John Scott, it has retained its original character with a few modern enhancements. Set back from the main road, this large homestead offers a large deck and separate BBQ area. The ground floor houses a large open plan kitchen and living space, laundry, and large dining room. Upstairs are three generous bedrooms and a second living room. At the bottom of the garden you'll find a tidal stream and jetty and Haumoana beach is just a 10minute walk from the house. The house has been lovingly restored inside and the exterior and gardens continue to be a work-in-progress. Situated between Hastings and Napier and 5 mins drive from Clive, the Grange offers visitors the opportunity to experience a unique piece of local history while enjoying the close proximity to vineyards, beaches and the a cycle track that will take you into Napier or Havelock North.
