Spacious 2 bedroom basement apartment located in the town of Sykesville on a dead end lane! Private entrance with self check in. Kitchenette with full refrigerator, microwave, hot plate, Kuerig coffee maker, and dishwasher. Snacks, continental breakfast items, waters, coffees and teas. Easy half mile stroll to downtown Main St.! Private guest deck. Perfect for those coming to the area to visit family, friends, attend work conferences, or for those just looking to explore our little town! This is a spacious two bedroom basement apartment with private entrance designed comfortably for 1-4 guests. Our space is perfect for those coming to the area to visit family and friends but who want their own space for respite! Bedroom one has a queen bed and there is a port-a-crib that can be set up for our younger guests. There is also a high chair available if needed. Bedroom two has 2 twin beds. The gathering space has a sofa and a twin air mattress which can be set up as needed. The dining area includes a farm table with 2 benches and 2 chairs. The Kitchenette includes a full size refrigerator, Kuerig, microwave, hot plate, slow cooker, dishwasher, pots, pans, glasses, plates, and cooking and eating utensils. THERE IS NO RANGE OR OVEN. Coffee, tea, creamer, sweeteners, continental breakfast items, snacks, and waters are included. If requested at booking, a bottle of wine will await you upon arrival! The bathroom has a tub and shower. Linens, towels, soaps, shampoo and conditioner, blow dryer are provided. The outside space includes a private guests’ deck, dining table with umbrella, and 4 chairs. Guests have access to the lovely backyard space with fruit trees and open areas. There is a fire pit available for guests’ use upon request and a small tabletop propane 'Firepit' on guest deck. The apartment has WIFI and a flat screen TV with streaming ROKU. There is private parking in the circle in front of the boardwalk which leads to the apartment. We are located on a quiet, private dead end lane but you can easily walk to Main St. to enjoy food, fun, beverages, and boutique shopping. The apartment is NOT Handicap Accessible. In addition, as it is a basement apartment, there is only one window in the entrance Guests have access to a small private deck, the entire backyard, outside dining table, and outside chairs. There is a gas grill available for guests' use if prearranged. There are children’s outside toys and a toddler and large swing. A fire pit is available but guests should prearrange with us if they would like to enjoy a bonfire. We do live on site but respect our guests’ privacy. We can be contacted through Airbnb messaging and usually answer within minutes. Sykesville was voted ‘Best Main Street in America’ in 2020 and 'The Coolest Small Town in America' in 2016! Main St. welcomes you with restaurants, ice cream shops, a distillery, unique boutiques, a playground, and regular festivals and block parties from April to November! There is a Farmers Market each Sunday during the summer and fall months. If you like to mountain bike, Patapsco State Park is an 8 minute drive from our location. The park has easy and challenging biking trails! Boat rentals are available at Piney Run Park, a quick 5 minute drive. Both parks have hiking trails, picnic areas, and pavilions available to rent. The South Branch of the Patapsco River is an easy 10 minute stroll where you can fish, wade, or just enjoy the beautiful surroundings! Liberty Reservoir is 5-10 minutes away by car where you can find gradual biking and hiking trails. We're close to: Baltimore 28 miles Washington, D.C. 47 miles Gettysburg, PA 40 miles In addition to the wonderful eateries in town, we are a 5 minute drive to many locally owned and chain restaurants. We are also 5 minutes from grocery stores and malls. Nearby local wineries and breweries. As stated, this is a basement apartment with one window in the entrance doorway. There is a screen door which can be opened for fresh air weather permitting. The space is designed to comfortably accommodate 1-4 guests with sleeping for an additional 5th guest . We will not accept reservations for more than 5 guests. *It is important to note that there is no range or oven available to guests.
