Our spacious and light-filled 3-bedroomed house has a fully enclosed mature garden of 3500m² situated in the heart of the Auvézère Valley in beautiful Dordogne. It is a true haven of peace and tranquility. The environment is calm, pastoral and extremely relaxing - perfect for nature-lovers or those seeking to get away from the rush. With its wide south-facing patio with everything you need to enjoy the sun or relax in the shade, Cedar House is the perfect holiday home for up to six people. There are: - 3 large double bedrooms, - 2 bathrooms - one with shower and seperate bath, one with shower, - 2 toilets, - a fully equipped kitchen, - a sunny and comfortable sitting-room and dining-room with a piano, - a wide south-facing patio, with plancha, lots of wooden furniture and sunbeds. This area in the Dordogne is a walker's and cycler's paradise. There are several beautiful woodland and riverside paths that can be taken directly from the house. The nearby Lac de Rouffiac (swimming, kayaking, fishing, wake-boarding...) is 15 minutes away, as is the Castle of Hautefort, the Essendieras golf club and the horse-riding centre at Clairvivre. Pompadour racecourse is 25km away, and the famous Lascaux Caves are 40km. For foodies, the Thursday market at Excideuil and the Saturday market at Brive la Gaillarde offer amazing fresh local produce. The peaceful village of Genis, a few minutes walk or cycle from Cedar House, has a bakery, foodstore, a butcher's, two restaurants and a pharmacy. Please note that two very discreet cats live on the property and are cared for by our neighbour. For this reason we prefer not to accept other animals. Rental includes wifi and taxes.
