“The Lookout” Cabin Getaway in the Poconos!

The Lookout cabin was a new renovation, as of September 2018. It is set up as one large, open space. It has a rustic, woodsy atmosphere. There is a full kitchen, full bathroom, and a sleep loft with a new full size mattress. The main bed is a queen size memory foam mattress (underneath the loft) and there is a convertible loveseat futon as well. Can sleep 6, but there is an additional charge of $25 per person over 4. Beautiful area close to 4 lakes, hiking, skiing, and scenic beauty. Owners live on the property and if you want/need anything, are available for frequent communication and recommendations on things to do in the area. Newfoundland is a small, beautiful, woodsy Pennsylvania town in the Pocono Mountains region. The Lookout cabin is set on a hill, back off the road, on our tranquil property. Deer and other wildlife visit daily, and our free-roaming chickens may very well pay you a visit. Spend the day taking a country drive, going for a trail hike, or antique shop hopping. Then fall asleep to the nightly sounds of nature. All four seasons are beautiful times to visit... you can keep busy or do nothing at all! The Lookout is within a 15-20 minute drive to 4 different lakes; Tobyhanna, Gouldsboro, Promised Land, and Lake Wallenpaupack (which is 5700 acres!). It is also a great hub for a day trip for skiing/tubing/snowboarding at any of these 5 spots... Camelback, Shawnee Mountain, Jack Frost, Montage Mountain, or Elk Mountain. The famous Kalahari indoor water park is only 30 mins away and if shopping is your thing, the Crossings Outlets are close too! Driveway is gravel and somewhat steep. You cannot see the cabin/house from the road. There are 2 mailboxes at the bottom of the driveway- we are the driveway up TO THE LEFT (white mailbox). All-wheel/4 wheel drive vehicle is highly recommended if there is SNOW/ICE. Feel free to message Amy prior to arrival to inquire about winter weather conditions. Parking area for up to 3 cars is available right in front of the cabin.
