Private apartment attached to main home - includes large bedroom, new Queen bed & seating. French doors to private patio - lovely garden, dining area, garden lighting & fountain. Adjoining rooms include kitchenette, office, dining area & private bath w/shower. Quiet residential area. Breakfast and snack items provided. The Garden Apartment is attached to the main house with private access, bath and private use of the back garden patio. Located in an older established neighborhood. The apartment is filled with original artwork and books. The private garden has areas for dining and seating, Weber barbeque, fountain and lighting for the evening and a privacy fence. Guests have access to the private apartment with bathroom and shower. Access to seating and dining on the back patio. Off street parking. I teach one class each semester. I tend to be available most afternoons and evenings. You may see me when I tend the garden. I will leave you with phone and text contact information if you have questions or additional needs. This is an older, quiet neighborhood, developed in the early 1950's. Most residents have remodeled their homes so the neighborhood has long lost its tract home look with unique and individual modifications. We are easy walking distance to downtown (15 minutes), Davis Food Coop, Farmer's Market, movie theaters and numerous restaurants. We are a 15 minute bike ride from the UCDavis campus. There is a binder in the apartment with recommendations. There is public transportation - a bus stop one block away. The Amtrak station is about six blocks away with service to Sacramento and the Bay Area. And of course there is cab service as well as Uber and Lyft. I will welcome you with a bottle of wine and a snack or an alternative if you prefer something else. The refrigerator will be stocked with items for your first breakfast - if you have any dietary issues or preferences I should be aware of, please let me know. Lily is the resident dog - a young terrier mix/rescue and darling. PLEASE DO NOT let her into the apartment, though she will happily play with you in the garden!! She does shed a bit and I want the apartment to be pet hair free for the next guest! There are two bicycles available for your use. Let me know if you want to use them. They have been recently tuned up and are in like new condition. Men's bike - 6' +. Women's bike 5'3" and is adjustable. Plus helmets, locks, rechargeable lights and tire pump are available for your use in the large closet.
