Barnfield, Dittisham

Barnfield is a pet friendly barn conversion providing comfortably accommodation for 4 guests. A reverse level home; Barnfield benefits from 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 parking spaces as well as access to 4 acres of communal gardens that include an orchard and various vantage points over the village of Dittisham. This property has recently undergone a major refurbishment with new kitchen and 2 new bathrooms installed Spring 2018. Accommodation: French windows from the parking area lead into the large open plan living area, a light and airy modern space with wooden flooring and distinctive lounge, dining and kitchen areas. The high ceiling and exposed roof trusses give retain the traditional barn conversion feel. The lounge area has 2 sofas and armchair as well as a Smart TV with DVD, separate CD/radio and i-pod docking station. The new kitchen is on the far side of the room and has an electric cooker, hob, washing machine/tumble dryer, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and freezer. The dining area between the two has a dining table with chairs for 4. Stairs lead down from the living room to the bedrooms and bathrooms. There are two good sized double bedrooms, the first has a king size bed, dressing table and built in wardrobe along with an en suite bathroom with a bath with electric shower over, toilet, wash basin and heated towel rail. The second bedroom is a double with chest of drawers and built in wardrobe. There is also a second bathroom on the ground floor with shower, toilet and wash basin. Outside: There is a small decked area outside the front door with bistro table and chairs for 4. Steps lead down from the deck to a small paved area ideal for storing bikes or kayaks. Guests also have access to the 4 acres of communal ground on Dittisham Court this includes large grassy areas with vantage points over Bow Creek and over towards The Quay, as well as the orchard at the bottom. Guests are welcome to exercise dogs on the grounds however we ask they are kept on leads. Parking: The two allocated parking spaces are opposite the front door. Nearby: The village pub The Red Lion is a 5 minute walk around the corner, The Red Lion also hosts the village shop and post office. A 10 minute walk will take you to The Quay where you will find the Ferry Boat Inn and The Anchorstone Cafe as well as ferries to Greenway and Dartmouth. The closest beach is Blackpool Sands a 10 minute drive away. Availability: In the peak season, May, June, July and August we need to keep to Saturday changeovers and a minimum stay of 7 nights. However, please do contact me with any requests you may have and we will accommodate if possible. Out of peak season we don't need to keep to a Saturday changeover.
