This nautical themed cottage is the perfect location for the outdoor enthusiast! Direct canal access leads right to the heart of Lake St.Clair's fishing, hunting, and recreational boating hub. Bring your boat and launch it at the end of the street or your snowmobile in the winter for fun on the bay! With amazing views of the St. John's Marsh on the canal side and Anchor Bay on the lake side, you are surrounded by beauty. Stay and play on Anchor Bay! Deckers Landing Marina and DNR Boat Launches areconveniently located at the end of the street; giving you access to the whole delta! Currently, the DNR launch ramp is closed, but you can launch at Deckers for $10. You can also head to Fair Haven (5 min.) for a DNR launch into Anchor Bay or to Algonac (10 min.) for a DNR launch into the North Channel. Cross the north channel and explore the Middle Channel or the Chenal About Rond. Look up the "Sny" loop water trail for a map. Lake St. Clair is a duck hunters and fisherman's paradise! Additional parking is available across the street from the house for a fee and must be prearranged. Dock your boat right outside the backdoor. Two kayaks may be made available for your daily use upon request. During winter months, Anchor Bay is a popular destination for snowmobile racing and ice fishing. The cottage has just been furnished with a new pull out sofa mattress, new bedding, linens, "My Pillows," towels, and cooking essentials. A portable fish cleaning station is also available for your use. Plan your hunting, fishing, boating or winter sports trip early so you don't miss out on your preferred dates! Your host lives nearby and is prompt in responding to any questions or concerns you may have during your stay. Anchor Bay Drive is a residential peninsula where the neighnbors are friendly and the views can't be beat! Gas docks, boat launches, bait & tackle shops, party stores, and even a restaurant are all within a mile of the cottage. You can venture by car or by boat to more local eateries and shops. Public transportation is not conveniently located near the cottage. For a scenic walk, head to the Algonac path or boardwalk just 10 minutes north. Or, head 15 min. south to downtown New Baltimore to visit the beach, lovely restaurants, and even a winery! Please be sure to BAG ALL trash before throwing it in the can outside. There is a recycling bin for returnable cans and bottles in the white closet near the front door. Please be sure to rinse and drain cans and bottles completely.
