Lower Level Bedroom in Charming Tudor
Row home in Northern Baltimore City is less than 15 minutes from major hospitals (Union Memorial, Good Sam, Sinai, GBMC, Sheppard Pratt & St. Joseph's) and 20 minutes from the University of MD Medical Center Midtown Campus & Johns Hopkins Hospital. What was a family room on the lower level has been converted into a comfortable bedroom which includes a double bed, dresser, desk and garment rack -- with a half bath, small refrigerator and laundry facilities in the adjoining room. Shower is available on the second floor and shared with one other guest (when second floor room is rented). Room is private except when host or guest needs to walk through to access the laundry room. However, use of the washer and dryer is coordinated at the convenience of the guest in this space. Access to kitchen, screened back porch, living room, dining room and washer/dryer. Home is owned and occupied by friendly, non-smoking professional female with no pets. Although owner runs a small business, she is often around to answer questions about Baltimore and surrounding locales and provide assistance as needed. Located in the Lake-Walker neighborhood, just north of trendy Belvedere Square, just south of Towson and 15 minutes from downtown Baltimore. Numerous restaurants are within a 10-minute walk as well as a grocery store, service station, dry cleaners and movie theater (the historic Senator Theatre). There is ample street parking in front of home or directly across the street. Also located just a couple of blocks from the Red Line bus route which goes south to downtown Baltimore and north to Towson. There is also a light rail station three miles west (with free, lighted parking) that goes to downtown as well as BWI Airport. This downstairs bedroom has proven to be ideal for visiting medical students, international students and professionals on a budget.
