Restormel is a beautifully presented 2 storey home in an elevated position with glorious views over the tidal creek at Penpol, a few miles to the south of Truro. Only available for a very limited number of weeks during the summer, this lovely family home has a range of reasons to choose for your summer holiday to Cornwall! The views across the river are beautiful; there is a stunning roof terrace accessible at first floor level where you can also enjoy the views; there is a separate, peaceful creekside garden; there is a tidal pontoon, outhaul and tidal mooring available for your use if you want to bring your own boat or kayak. The historic Pandora Inn is on the opposite side of the creek and is accessible by boat or kayak if you do have your own. The property itself has 3 bedrooms and a first floor sitting room with a sofa bed and can sleep a family group of 8, with a maximum of 6 adults. There is a spacious open plan kitchen and living room on the ground floor which has good views. Off the living room are 2 bedrooms, one of which has a superking bed and an additional single bed. The other bedroom has a standard double bed. Upstairs, the master bedroom has a superking bed and enjoys great views and has the benefit of a small balcony, suitable for 2. There is a small sitting room at first floor with access to the roof terrace. Penpol is a wonderful place to visit on holiday with your family - a quiet creekside residential area where children are safe to explore. The nearby quay is popular at high tide for swimming and quay jumping and it is a flat, peaceful 25 minute walk to the Old Quay Inn at nearby Devoran which serves great food and is also a very pleasant place to enjoy an early evening drink. The Bissoe Trail leads from Devoran and is a dedicated cycle path through Cornwall's historic mining country to Portreath on the north coast. Both the cathedral city of Truro and the historic harbour town of Falmouth are within a short drive. Truro has a range of shops including an M&S, Sainsburys and Waitrose and Falmouth a fascinating collection of attractions ranging from Pendennis Castle, boat trips around the estuary and the golden sands of Gyllyngvase Beach. Accommodation Ground Floor: Entrance through to open plan living room and kitchen with views. There is a double bedroom with views, with a superking sized bed and a further single bed. A bedroom to the rear has a standard double bed. There is a shower room with WC to one side and a further separate WC. Stairs lead to First Floor: Sitting room with double sofa bed and access to the roof terrace. Master double bedroom with superking bed and views across the river and a small balcony perfect for 2. There is a family bathroom with over bath shower and WC External: Separate waterfront garden, accessed by a path down the side of the property. Access to a tidal pontoon, boat outhaul and a tidal mooring for up to a 20' boat. Parking for 2 cars in an off road parking area. Facilities & Services Heating is via electric wall mounted heaters & wood a large burning stove. The modern fully fitted kitchen has a range of equipment with a large range style electric oven and hob, a microwave, toaster, kettle, large double door fridge freezer and dishwasher. The sitting room area has a flat screen digital TV & DVD player, with Netflix and BT Sport. There is also a projector and screen within the living room, perfect for movie nights! There is a washing machine, separate dryer, iron & ironing board. WiFi is available throughout the property. Miscellaneous Electricity, heating, bed linen & towels are all included but you will need to provide your own beach towels. Strictly no smoking is allowed at the property. Up to two dogs are permitted at the additional charge of £35 per dog per week, however please remember that dogs are not permitted on the furniture or in bedrooms at any time. There is a cot & high chair & changing table available upon request. General Booking Information Arrival / Departure is normally a Saturday £250 pre-authorised to your credit or debit card as a security deposit is required.
