Welcome to The Mountain Getaway. This house has 2 living rooms and very spacious and easy accommodates 6 or more people without being crowded. Working Vacation is no problem with rare Fiber Internet. There is a beautiful view of the mountains and it is quiet at night. It has a large deck to accommodate everyone and overlooks the pond. This gem is nestled in the Catskills on 10 acres. A great escape for skiing, hiking, biking, fishing, snowboarding, ATVing, swimming, and escaping from "it all." We have Fiber Internet (rare here) with Ethernet jack connections and WIFI 5G service, Roku TV, Local TV channels, two HDTV's, and board games for your inside enjoyment. This place is perfect for a working vacation with solid internet. We also have central A/C (rare here) but is great for hot days.. We have County Waste recycle and disposal weekly pickup service which unusual for the rentals. We are approximately: -- 10-15 min from Windham Ski Resort, Hunter Ski Resort -- 30 min from Belleayre Ski Resort / 50 min from Plattekill Ski Resort --10 min from Bearpen Mountain ( Winter has skating, snowshoeing, XC skiing and fat biking.) Summer hike the old trails off Ski Run or Heisinger road. Hidden local gem. -- 1.25 hour to Cooperstown/Baseball Hall of Fame -- 1 hour to Hudson, NY, Kingston, NY, Catskill, NY --15 Minutes from the Thomas Cole Loop Trail and Blackhead Mountain --20 Min to North Lake and Kaaterskill Falls You can go outside and fish in the pond, go hiking or biking or hit the slopes. There is 10 acres of property to roam. This is perfect if want to Ski the 4 Slopes of the Catskills. At night, grab some marshmallows and sticks and enjoy the firepit, creating S'mores under the starry sky. Note -- Additional people can sleep on the sofas or on air mattresses/sleeping bags (not provided). We require a quiet time from 9pm to 8am. We like people to have fun, relaxing time but there is no parties and we need to know the purpose of your visit. You will have complete access to the house, the pond, and the 10 acre property. We will provide you a Keypad Pin and we have a backup lockbox for check in. Enjoy your stay. While we live outside of NY, our next door neighbors care for our property and will be your physical point of contact during your stay. Our neighbor is wonderful and he is also a ski instructor at Hunter Mtn, so he knows the mountain. We will be accessible via email and cellphone. Our home is very peaceful with a charming pond and wildlife and wonderful mountain views. In the towns of Windham, Hunter, and Tannersville, you will find and array of shops, fantastic restaurants, and activities from skiing to biking to ATVing to fishing to festivals! A great escape from the "day to day!". We dont support any parties and quite hours are 9pm to 8am. I recommend Mill Rock (Windham), Chick Run (Windham), and Mama's Boy (Tannersville). Don't forget ice cream at any of the Stewart's locations. There is limited cab service and the nearest public transportation would be Kingston or Catskill NY. Be prepared to relax! This is a very peaceful area. There are great places to eat Ladoria or Vesuvio for the best Italian. The Windham Wine Bar is Great and West Kill Brewing all close to the property.
