Honeystones is located in Curbridge, just 1.5 miles from the centre of Witney, and has recently been converted into a high quality holiday home. Internally, there is an open-plan living kitchen - diner, a beautifully furnished sitting room with open-fire, and a ground floor king size bedroom suite (with walk in shower). On the first floor are 2 further bedrooms; one single and one super king size double (which can be set up as 2 singles if preferred) as well as the family bathroom. To the rear of the property, there is an enclosed garden with a table, chairs and at the front of the property you will find ample off-street parking. Honeystones is the ideal location from which to explore all that this region has to offer, from days out in Oxford to quiet walks in the rolling Oxfordshire countryside. Amenities: Central heating throughout, with open fire in sitting room (starter pack of logs supplied). Electric hob and oven, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge, freezer, microwave. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Rear enclosed garden with table, chairs. Cot and highchair. Wifi. Ample off street parking. Sorry no pets and no smoking inside the cottage. Pub 0.5 miles shops 1.5 miles. Please note that the stairs in the cottage are steeper than usual and may not be suitable for those with mobility issues. Limited head height for those 6ft plus on the first floor. Region: Visitors to the Cotswolds have long treasured memories of charming towns and villages built from the famous honey-coloured stone, it now boasts a thriving community of contemporary artists working from studios and shops throughout the area. Town: The thriving village of Curbridge lies in beautiful Oxfordshire countryside, on the edge of the Cotswolds. The village boasting the Lord Kitchener pub, which allows dogs and offers excellent meals at reasonable prices is located just 1.5 miles south of the ancient town of Witney and 12 miles from Oxford. The riverside town of Witney, mentioned in the Domesday Book, offers many attractions and amenities including a weekly market which dates back to the Middle Ages, a 16th century market square and 18th century town hall, allegedly designed by Sir Christopher Wren. Witney is also home to the Wychwood Brewery. The university city of Oxford, known as 'The City of Dreaming Spires', offers many attractions such as the oldest university teaching room, many museums, botanical gardens and the Bodleian Library. Oxford also plays host to many markets and festivals throughout the year. Blenheim Palace, the ancestral home of Winston Churchill is close by where you can enjoy the landscaped parkland designed by Capability Brown, the great lake and beautiful village of Woodstock. Just a little further afield are the beautiful Cotswold Wildlife Park offering many rare and endangered species, the Cotswold Water Park with its abundance of activities, Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare, Warwick and Leamington Spa, all offering a great day out for all the family. A great destination for a memorable holiday.
