We're on 106 acres minutes away from Cambridge, Blackwater NWR, Harriet Tubman URR State Park and two public boat ramps for access to Chesapeake Bay. Hike our trails and enjoy bird watching, wildlife photography and fishing on our award winning tree farm and relax by our pond. Bring your bikes, binoculars and kayaks and enjoy the surrounding area. Our farm is certified by the American Tree Farm System and is managed for timber, wildlife, water and recreation. The name, Abend Hafen, is from our German heritage and means "Evening Haven." We provide a great getaway for nature lovers and encourage our guests to explore and enjoy. Guests have access to a separate private 700 sq. ft. space with one bedroom with a private bath, a large family/dining room for relaxing and a private entrance and deck. Guests also have access to firewood and a fire pit for bonfires, and picnic tables are available. We are minutes away from Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge and Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Visitor Center. We're also 1/2 mile from Madison Public Boat Ramp and 4 miles from Taylors Island Marina with local restaurants and bars nearby. Cyclists are welcome and enjoy our flat terrain. We are near Cambridge, MD., and we are centrally located about 1 1/2 hours from Washington, DC, Baltimore and Ocean City, MD. There is plenty of parking in our private driveway.
