The garden is bordered by 2 large poplars, linden trees, ash trees and spruces, as well as bush roses and fruit bushes. On the terraces a variety of flowers are planted, which bloom according to seasonal. In addition to sun pavilions, the different trees such as the walnut tree provide excellent shade on hot days. On the property there is still the well access, whose water can provide over an old hand pump for additional irrigation. In summer there are lots of songbirds. But also birds of prey and in the twilight forest owls and bats fly around the house. The two remaining old barns can still guess the original size of the yard. They are inhabited by forest owls and swallows. The water of the Bodden is also suitable for bad swimmers (warmer than the Baltic Sea and best values). Beach: For swimming at the yacht harbor beach (about 300 meters), for splashing small bay with beach (about 500 meters, ideal for small children). Ideal also for surfing and kiting! The peninsula, on which Vieregge is located, is surrounded by the nature reserve 'Vorpommernsche Boddenlandschaft National Park', which offers a variety of fauna and flora. Particularly impressive are the birds as well as whole flocks of birds, which in the spring and autumn on Rügen 'land'. With luck, depending on the season, the cranes can be observed directly from the large garden. On the Pachtwiese with subsequent grove direction Bodden and sometimes in the garden, not only fox and hare say goodnight, but also polecat, raccoon dog, deer and wild boar. Incidentally, fishing in the Bodden can be very successful. Otherwise there`s fresh fish in Neuenkirchen. Bicycles for exploring the charming area on request. The high Hilgor (1 km) with its Grümbke tower offers a fantastic view over the Bodden landscape to Hiddensee.
