Beautiful two bedroom/bathroom house Kournas Villas. The house is located on the north coast of Crete, close to the charming and quiet village of Georgioupolis and Kavros. With a 10 min walk from the house, through the olive gardens, to a 9 km long sandy beach which offers wide-open spaces, free sun beds and umbrellas, WC, showers, play grounds for kids and amazing local Greek food. The house has a lot of outdoor space, a lounge to enjoy a glass of local wine, a dinner table and sun beds next to the swimming pool. The Korunas lake (10 min drive) is the only fresh water lake in Crete. In this area you can rent a pedal-boat, observe turtles, take a refreshing swim or enjoy the local food in one of the tavernas with a stunning view of the lake. The village of Georgioupolis is located 2 km west from the house. There you will find small shops, supermarkets, hotels, bars and tavernas. The village of Kavros is located 1,5 km east. Big seafront hotels are predominant but you can also find small shops, supermarkets, bars, tavernas, pizzerias, etc. The city of Rethymno, which is the third largest city of Crete is located only 20 km east.
