Burton upon Trent is just over 6 miles away, which straddles the well-known River Trent and is famous for its breweries and award-winning ales. Close by you will find many interesting sites such as Tutbury Castle, Bass Brewery Centre and the Claymills Pumping Station. Also within easy reach are Twycross Zoo, Drayton Manor, Alton Towers, Belper, Matlock and Ashbourne. This is such a wonderful base for a fantastic break to enjoy at any time of the year.
