THE DUPLEX: The apartment is a very familiar and cozy duplex, with capacity for 5-6 people and is located in the heart of the old town of Cadaqués, in a unique setting and a few minutes from the beach. Its decor is attention to detail and interior features typical elements of the houses of the people as the vault, the spiral staircase and stone walls. We find the fully equipped with everything you need so that you can enjoy a comfortable stay in Cadaqués, one of the most fabulous places on the Costa Brava Apartment. And if you are a love of the art of Salvador Dalí, you can not miss the opportunity to visit his House Museum, which is just a 25 minute walk or 5 minute drive from the apartment. It is a particular apartment, usually used by its owner, and is only available in very specific times of the year (you have to ask availability). Priority is given to those who want to exchange houses, obviously without payment. In any case standards are mandatory for all guests respectful use of the apartment, as well as citizenship and absolute respect to the rest of the neighbors. The duplex features: • 1 suite with double bed and large closet • 1 bedroom with bunk bed, a wardrobe and a small closet • 1 large sofa bed • Fully equipped kitchen (microwave, fridge, freezer, kettle, washing machine, etc.) • Bathroom with shower (attention: it is small!) • Living-dining room (WiFi from June to September, TV, DVD, CD Player, books, children's games) • Balcony with ample mountain views THE VILLAGE: Cadaqués, a small fishing village that was formerly only accessible by sea, is located in the northeast of Catalonia, on the Costa Brava, just below the Cabo de Creus. Attracted by the breeze of the Mediterranean sea, its light and a crystal clear waters, numerous renowned artists such as Salvador Dali and Pablo Picasso became a favorite destination Cadaqués. And the people, despite having evolved since then, has retained its special charm through the years. If what you seek are beaches and charming coves, crystal clear water, a deeply rooted cultural tradition, a unique cuisine, fine wines, long walks and excursions by the sea, Cadaqués is undoubtedly the ideal place. Cadaqués offers a wide range of activities in summer. It is the ideal place to sit by the sea, bathing in its waters, taste fresh fish in one of the restaurants or enjoy a nice boat ride or kayak for their surroundings. The peninsula of Cap de Creus is a unique and highly valued natural reserve for cyclists, hikers, botanists and divers, especially thanks to the hundreds of caves and coves that are willing to be explored. There are numerous walking routes from north to south, always with fabulous views of the bay and surrounding mountains. Outside is Portlligat Cadaqués, where you can visit the former home of Salvador Dalí, now a museum. Also you can pasearos the streets of the old town, which still retains its charm, and visit all kinds of art galleries and crafts stores.
