Trout N' About, your Blue Ridge Mountains retreat!

Forget your worries in this luxurious and serene space. Nestled in the Coosawattee River Resort listen to the river while drinking your morning coffee on the front porch. You will see deer every day whether it be in the front yard or in the private backyard on the top of the hill. The cabin has three bedrooms and four bathrooms. The master bedroom and second master are on the main floor, each has a full bathroom. There is an additional loft upstairs with a private bathroom. Downstairs there is a full game room. We advertise sleeping up to 8 but with the game room sleeper sofa counted it could be 10 people or the 8 can spread out a little bit. Sleeping Arrangements: Master Bedroom - The master has wonderful vaulted wood ceilings with french doors leading out to the front balcony overlooking the river. The room features as television, chest of drawers, private full master bathroom, and a wonderful King Size Tempur Sealey memory foam bed. The furniture, much like in the entire cabin is rustic handmade pieces. Second Bedroom - The second bedroom is the same size as the master bedroom and features Queen Size memory foam mattress in a handmade log bed with a carved cherry wood headboard, full bathroom with an additional entrance to the living room, large log desk and television on the wall. Loft - The loft features a Queen size log bed and a trundle bunk bed unit with two twin beds. The loft has a private full bathroom with a shower. Game room - The Game room features a queen sleeper sofa and a full bathroom, this floor is not heated or cooled but maintains a nice three season temperature. Outdoors: Front Balcony - The outdoors is one of the true gems that sets Trout N' About apart from others. Featuring a full width front balcony with rockers and a dinette overlooking the Coosawattee River and a seasonal mountain view. The neighborhood deer come by every morning and afternoon to be fed some corn, we have had up to twenty on the front lawn at once. Back Area - The back area is very private and features tons of fun outdoor activities. The hot tub is on a concrete patio in the back covered by a roof with clear plastic roofing so you can still see the stars but also enjoy the tub in rain or snow. Beyond the hot tub we have a section of pavers with a picnic table for outdoor dining covered by a large sail cloth to provide some shade. In addition to the hot tub and picnic area we also have a stone fire pit with handmade cedar log furniture for roasting hot dogs and making smores. When you get tired of the hotdogs we also have a gas grill for cooking steaks, chicken, and more. The back area is truly a little slice of paradise. Kitchen: Unlike a lot of cabins Trout N' About features a gourmet kitchen with wood cabinets, granite counters, and real cookware including a large soup pot, copper pans and pots, non-stick skillets, and much more. There is both a drip coffee maker and a Keurig unit, we try to keep both types of coffee stocked. There are spices, baking dishes, griddle, waffle iron, and more. This is truly a cooks kitchen and our family actually had Thanksgiving her last year hosting 13 people for the day. We have both indoor and outdoor dishes and sharp knives. Game room: Another true gem that sets Trout N' About apart from those other cabins is the game room. We have done a lot of work to convert a 1000 square foot garage into a cabin within a cabin. The walls are finished with rough pallet wood with windows mounted in the divider wall and a sliding barn door in the works! All of our games are solid full size games, not undersized ones purchased off Amazon. Games include: Air Hockey Monopoly Foosball Giant Janga Three Arcade machines, each one has multiple games including favorites like pacman, galaga, dig dug, and many more classics The game room also features seating on a live edge teak bar table with stools and a rustic sleeper sofa and tv. As mentioned earlier there is also a full bathroom in the game room. Living Room: With so many great places to hang out in Trout N' About sometimes we forget about the beautiful living room. There is a gas fireplace on a timer switch, a 60" TV, sofa, love seat, and recliner. The vaulted ceilings are built of beams made from local wood and there is a door leading to the front balcony to feed the deer. Rustic Oak floors round out the house with a beautiful cowskin rug and a handmade walnut coffee table. Neighborhood: If that is not enough we are nestled inside the Coosawattee neighborhood featuring a stocked fishing pond, heated swimming pool, kayaking, tubing, parks, and much more than one can imagine. You are truly going to enjoy nature on your vacation to Ellijay.
