A most serene, cool, artistic and refined personal space, created by Santorini painter and engraver Anna Mendrinou, with traditional vintage furniture, hand made household items, and original works of art. Situated in the quiet and purely residential, traditional village of Exo Gonia, the property provides the ideal conditions, for relaxation and privacy. As the property is also situated on a dead-end narrow road, the complete lack of traffic creates a most serene, private and safe environment. From it’s original old wooden doors and windows, to it’s hand made carpets, pillows, and dinnerware, a most soothing and artistically refined personal space was created, by Santorini painter and engraver Anna Mendrinou, equipped with traditional vintage furniture, hand made household items and original works of art. A very quiet, comfortably cool space, with it's high, arched ceiling, and elegant decoration offers an authentic experience of a traditional cave house of Santorini. The house’s location, dug entirely inside the mountain rock and it's eastern orientation creates the most amazing, and ideal natural living conditions. Providing plenty of natural light, with ideal, all natural, comfortably cool temperature and ventilation. Cars can access right up to the garden gate. There is plenty of free and comfortable parking areas, within a 2 min. walking distance from the property. One unique feature of the property when sitting at the porch in the summer months, is the sun rising from the sea through the arched garden gate, designed as to provide perfect view but also privacy, making for a majestic beginning of a summer’s day. THE VILAGE Exo Gonia village is one of the last unspoiled, purely traditional villages, away from noise, traffic and crowds. It is a friendly residential only area, away from tourist masses and mostly inhabited by locals, offering a unique and authentic experience of Santorini, in a very private and serene environment. The village offers memorable strolls through its quiet narrow village paths, and unexplored hiking paths to Purgos, Mesa Gonia and Kamari seaside village. Located in the geographical centre of Santorini, it is an ideal starting point for any destination. With just a 3 minute walk from the property you will find the local, but famous, "Metaxi mas" tavern, where you can taste authentic local food of exceptional quality. Other restaurants (and also supermarkets, banks, bakeries. pharmacies & groceries stores) can be found within just a 5-10 minute drive, in Pyrgos village, Kamari, Messaria or Megalochori. Within the same driving distance you can find some of the best wineries on the island, in Pyrgos village, Mesa Gonia and Megalochori, where you can taste the famous wine varieties of Santorini.
