The historic Cole farmhouse may be the oldest standing house in Providence. It boasts spectacular chimneys, wide-plank flooring, and striking period features. The open rustic layout includes all modern amenities you could need, including large modern kitchen, king-size bed with an adjustable base, washer/ dryer, dishwasher, TVs with Netflix & Sling, A/C units, Air purifiers, high-speed WiFi and much more. This oasis of calm is nestled in a quiet cul-de-sec only 1.5 miles (5 minute drive) from Brown University and Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). You will love the large yard, shaded by magnificent old walnut trees and the serene nourishing atmosphere. Enjoy the beautiful porch overlooking the front yard, and the large deck in the backyard. The Parking lot accommodates three cars. Our chickens provide fresh delicious eggs daily, and you can pick fresh veggies from our garden in the Summer. If you are into architectural history this will be a very special place. While the magnificent chimneys, wide floor boards and vintage bathroom retain the farmhouse feel, you'll enjoy a fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances for your most comfortable stay. Located in the East Side, only 2 blocks off Blackstone Boulevard (known just as "the boulevard' to locals), with a 2 mile running/walking track in the middle of a street of lovely homes. A ten-minute walk takes you to Hope St, where you find lots of restaurants, Seven Stars bakery (one of the very best in the USA), lovely independent shops and a public library.
