This stylish first floor apartment, in one of Charlestown’s quiet developments, is only minutes from the historic harbour and centre of this World Heritage Site and looks out over the original waterwheel of the converted foundry. Charlestown, an area of historic importance, is home to tall sailing ships, craft shops, award-winning restaurants, cafés, local pubs with live music and a small secluded beach. The village has been used as a setting for TV and films, including ‘Poldark’, on many occasions. It also has a heritage and shipwreck centre with relics from the Titanic. The surrounding area is abundant with private and National Trust properties and gardens, such as Pine Lodge Gardens, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, the Eden Project, Lanhydrock House and many more. The South West Coast Path is easily reached on foot and provides stunning coastal walks and views along this stretch of coast, with secluded beaches and pretty villages dotted along its shore. Porthpean, to the west, has a sailing club, whilst Carlyon Bay, to the east, has a beach restaurant in the summer months and a links golf course. A short drive will bring you to Fowey, Lostwithiel, Newquay, Padstow and the north coast, which is a completely different coastline for you to explore.
