Pont-Aven was made famous by the painter Gauguin who set up the Pont-Aven painting school. Today, ten or so art galleries line the streets. Concarneau can be found within 15 km and is worth a day visit for its walled town and lively quayside. Within a 10 minute drive you will have the choice of three large, beautiful, south-facing sandy beaches: Kerfany, Raguenez and Trévignon.
