River Loft

We are renting a cool 120m2 loft with a pool table. It also has a kitchen, bathroom, toilet and lots of sleeping (common) space, sofas. The thing that makes the place even more special is the river running underneath the house with an old mill. It is suitable for families or groups of friends that want to explore this side of Slovenia. Nearby attractions: - cave Postojna 28km - castle Predjama 35km - Slovenian coast Piran 73km - Croatian coast Opatija 35km - mountain Snežnik (1796m) 32km Old renovated attic loft with a handcrafted oak tree bar encircling the kitchen, very suitable for cooking and socializing at the same time. Stove, oven and lots of food preparing space give the opportunity for some serious cooking. The toilet and the bathroom are separated but all the other space (including sleeping) is common space. Pool table has a central location in the room, but there are also a kitchen table and a small desk for eventual computer or office work. The toilet floor is made from pebble stones to give it a "beach like" feeling. Hifi with wooden speakers and an old record player can take you back in time. A stony wall at the entrance witnesses the building's historic role in the center of Ilirska Bistrica which in the old days had 18 water mills and only one is preserved. The mill under your loft. Guests can access the loft by opening the metal garden gate, following a large wooden bridge to cross the river and ascending the stairs leading to the attic. The outside space is private, so we kindly invite guests to only use the access route and the loft. Other spaces can be visited only by previous agreement with the owner. A house is located at the centre square of Ilirska Bistrica, yet it is a small town so it is not crowded. Markets and restaurants are a few meters away.
