Holiday home for 6 people, comprising 3 bedrooms, 6 beds, 2 bathrooms Enjoy a panoramic view over vineyards and the Pyrenees from a beautiful house, 20 mn drive from Carcassonne, the famous mediaeval walled city. The house is located in Cailhau, a small village of 240 inhabitants. It stands on the southern side of a hill, and its large terraced garden runs down to the swimming pool (5 x 10 m). The house provides bright and spacious living with French windows giving fantastic views over the surrounding countryside. It is well furnished and provided with all modern conveniences. From the entrance hall, with wardrobe and WC, you enter the large living, dining area and open-plan kitchen. In the living area there is a large sofa, TV, DVD player, radio, and WIFI internet connection. The kitchen is equipped with fridge-freezer, 4-ring hob, oven, micro-wave, coffee machine, dishwasher as well as crockery and cutlery for 6. From the living area, you step out onto the south-facing shaded terrace, with table and chairs. The kitchen leads into the laundry where you can find the washing machine, dryer, freezer, iron and ironing board and vacuum cleaner. A door separates the living room from the 3 bedrooms, each with two single beds (90 x 200cm) and wardrobe. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom. The second bathroom has a bath, shower, toilet and 2 washbasins. Garden and swimming pool The garden runs down in 3 terraces to a vineyard. On the second terrace you can relax in deckchairs under the parasol by the side of the swimming pool, while the third terrace offers two swings and a slide for children and space to play games such as pétanque, the favorite pastime of the locals. Shopping facilities The local shops are 4 km away in Belvèze-du-Razès, with a small supermarket; there are 2 bigger supermarkets in Limoux (13 km) and Bram (17 km). Notes on accommodation For babies, two highchairs, a playpen and two baby beds are available on request. Pets are not allowed. Smoking is allowed on the terrace and in the garden only. Carcassonne airport is 20 mn drive from the house.
