With a cosy open fire to enjoy those chiller evenings and a lovely patio garden for the warmer days, it’s a perfect place to stay all year round. Set within the pretty Hampshire village of Nether Wallop in the Test Valley, made up of 3 local villages collectively known as "The Wallops". This village has been used for filming location for Miss Marple due to the many thatched cottages and pretty streets. There is an historic church dating back to the Saxon era in the village, a playing field, and a village tennis court about ½ mile away. There are excellent walks in the area including the 44-mile-long Test Way which leads through some of England’s most picturesque landscapes. There are plenty of places and attractions to visit during your stay at Wheelwright’s Cottage including the Cathedral cities of Salisbury and Winchester, both beautiful cities and only 12 miles away. The New Forest National Park where you can find the famous New Forest Ponies roaming is within easy reach. Other places to visit include Stonehenge, Mottisfont Abbey, Danebury Iron Age Hill Fort, Hinton Ampner, The Museum of Army Flying at Middle Wallop, Highclere Castle, Beaulieu Motor Museum, Buckler’s Hard, Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium, Wilton House, and Thruxton Circuit. Stockbridge is about 4 miles away with a selection of shops, eateries, and inns. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 1½ miles." Free WiFi
