Private Villa and Garden with Spectacular Views of the Chianti Countryside

Casina delle Rose in Casale Casina on the Tenuta di Villa d'Arceno is a free standing Villa with private garden. Perched on a hilltop with views of the surrounding vineyards, olive groves, the towers of Siena and Mt. Amiata in the distance, it is an ideal place to spend your Tuscan holiday. Upon your arrival you will find a welcome basket that provides all the necessities for your first evening in your Chianti home away from home. The villa is a restored traditional Tuscan barn with a gourmet kitchen and dining area, and comfortable living room with wood burning fireplace downstairs, and two en suite bedrooms upstairs. There is a 'cantina' which contains the washing machine and dryer along with space to hang laundry. The terrace has a dining table, cabana umbrella and lounges for your use and enjoyment. A typical day might begin with a quiet early morning swim in the pool at Casina, followed by a cappucino and pastry at the Bar Centrale in Castelnuovo Berardenga where you can plan your day's activities. Perhaps wine tasting in Montepulciano and Montalcino, with a stop for lunch in Pienza. Or the 'Della Francesco' tour to Arezzo and the surrounding countryside including Cortona. A more adventuresome day might include Assisi and Gubbio a wonderful town not normally on anyone's list of places to see. At the end of the day a refreshing swim followed by a glass of wine on your back terrace while you watch the sun set over Siena. Now you are ready for a delicious dinner at one of the many fine restaurants close by, then back home and a final glass of wine under the stars. Perhaps you wish to relax after a long journey. The historic Arceno estate is a lovely place to explore on foot or by bicycle. There are two bicycles available for your enjoyment (please make use of the helmets). There are also numerous guidebooks and maps available on Tuscany and further afield for your perusal while at our home. The desk with printer and WIFI internet connection in the second bedroom allows for any work or travel plans you need to make during your stay. We have had a home in Chianti for over 17 years and have wonderful memories of the times we have shared here with family and friends. We hope you will treasure your memories of your time here, too.
