Our Wadleigh cabin & bunk house is the ONLY accommodation on a private, 100 acre, Class A Maine Lake! We are truly your great Maine escape to a peaceful serenity. ABSOLUTE PRIVACY. — Cabin is a 20 min ride to Mount Katahdin in Baxter State Park and the newest National Monument Park Katahdin Woods and Waters. Also, cabin is 5.8 miles from nearby town of Millinocket, ME. — We are right in the center of some of Maine’s best 215 miles worth of hiking and wildlife for any lover of the outdoors! Guest access to a 100 acre private lake and the 200 acres around the shore line. This is wilderness based access so be prepared for animals that roam the woods. We will be available upon arrival and as needed This is rustic cabin with outhouse on a private lake in the middle of woods. You share space with Moose, Deer, and fish in the lake. There is a canoe with paddles and life preservers. You will need to bring sleeping bags and all other camping equipment. There is no running water! This is one of the most beautiful spots in Maine on a completely private lake. You will need a vehicle to get to some great hikes and climbs. The International Dark-Sky Association (IDA) announced that the Appalachian Mountain Club’s (AMC) Maine Woods property has become the first International Dark Sky Park in New England. We are next door to this property! Night sky is amazing.
