Odd Cottage is a pretty Cotswolds Luxury Holiday Cottage

located in the village of Oddington. Oddington is a enchanting Cotswolds village that can only be described as typical quintessence of English rural life and this pretty village is no exception as it still holds the charm of a typical 11th century Cotswolds Village. A traditional English village was usually made up of a small settlement that had a parish church, a school and a shop or two with one usually including a post office. There would have been at least two pubs serving locals and usually a manor house that was set in it’s own grounds and usually referred to as ‘the great house’. Oddington still offers the charm of a traditional village with its historical Church of St. Nicholas which date back to the 12th century, two pubs, The Fox and The Horse and Groom and a Manor House which originally dates back to the 12th Century. During the 13th century the Manor House was one of the archbishop of York residences and King Henry III often stopped there when traveling between Woodstock and Evesham. Odd Cottage is tucked down a tiny lane, just off the road that runs through the two Oddington villages. There is only three cottages on Brans Lane and Odd Cottage nestles in between the other two and its lidilic setting makes it a perfect base for exploring the Cotswolds. You enter the cottage into the spacious lounge/Dining Room which has exposed beans and brick fireplace with a wood burning stove. This luxurious living area feels cosy with its sumptuousness two and three-seater sofas, offering a great place to wine and dine while enjoying the fabulous log burning stove. Through the original back door there is a separate luxury appointed kitchen, which has an Oven and Hob, Microwave, Fridge Freezer and Food Mixer and a Utility room with a Washer/Dryer. In the summer you can relax with al-fresco dining in the secluded brick-paved courtyard and cook on the Barbecue provided. From the lounge there is an open staircase leading to the first floor where there are two pretty cottage style double bedrooms (Double Beds) one offering a colour TV/DVD. Also upstairs is the luxury appointed Bathroom with Shower over the bath.
