Girassol - Ocean & island view holiday home (Quinta do Milhafre)

Girassol is a one bedroom home, with a maximum capacity for 4 people (double bed in the bed room). This house also has a bathroom, a kitchen (with stove & oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, coffee machine and toaster) and a lounge area with TV (where you can find a pull-out couch for two). Girassol offers a view of the neighbor island, São Jorge. This house has access to a BBQ area with an outdoor table. Quinta do Milhafre - AL is not just any accommodation service. Unlike most, the focus is not to rebuild traditional houses, but to create a different place. Modern architecture blends in with details created by lava rock and the calmness of nature. The essence of what we have to offer is the location's beauty and tranquility. Our plan was to create 4 different accommodations (all of which are self-catering), keeping each one's privacy in mind. And the fact that we have built everything we could with our own hands from the ground up, makes it a very special place. We also have a library where you can sit and relax while reading a book, or just lounge around. Here you can find our reception area and a pool table. Other than these services, we also have barbeque areas and a lookout which presents you with a full view of the Quinta and of the surrounding area's, as of São Jorge and the ocean adding a gorgeous blue to the pallet of colors offered by the trees and flowers throughout the property. You don’t have to listen hard in order to hear birds chirping and we also have gardens all around. You can sleep soundly at night because there is no traffic. All you hear is the sounds of the ocean and during the summer the unique songs the Cagarra (a night bird) sing. We are animal friendly, so don't be surprised t see our dog or cats relaxing on the grounds. We are also child friendly - that's why we have built a playground for our little guests.
