Bagnolo is a simple working village in the fertile Salento area of Puglia; benefiting from an artisan patisserie/ ice-cream parlour, three restaurants/ pizzerias, two simple bars, a butcher, two mini supermarkets and a pharmacy. It's well placed to explore the southern part of the Salento. The quality and price of the food is very good wherever you go. During July and August concerts, religious, cultural and food festivals take place every evening across the region. In a two week period it would not be difficult to visit a different beach every day within a maximum of 30 minutes drive, the closest being the white beaches of Alimini, only 15 minutes away.
