Beachfront Hamptons-style cottage!

Charming Hamptons-style beach cottage on LI Sound with stunning views! Unobstructed beach front with ten steps down to the sand. Swim, play and relax on the beach right in front of the cottage. Walk for miles along the shore. Paddle in our kayaks to view herons, swans, turtles, fish and more in the Sound or on the nearby pond. A unique vacation paradise! Booking policy from Memorial Day to Labor day is 6 nights or 13 nights only, with Tuesday check-in, Monday check-out. The cottage is perfect for a single person's retreat, a couple's getaway or a family vacation, any time of year. Beach access is unrestricted in both directions for walking, but limited to the area in front of the cottage for hanging out, playing, sunbathing, etc. The cottage has an open concept 21'x21' kitchen/dining/living room, leading out to a covered porch with a barbecue grill. The 9'x12' primary bedroom has a queen-sized bed and a 9'x9' dressing room with dresser, closet and washer/dryer. The second sleeping area is a kneeling-height loft with a queen-sized mattress, accessed by ladder. (The loft may not be suitable for a young child.) The cottage has off-street parking and is private, except you may occasionally see friends through the trees walking the wooded foot path that runs from the private road at the end of the driveway and alongside this property to the beach. You have access to four miles of beautiful Long Island beach for swimming, walking and jogging along the shoreline. Once on the beach, you will have an occasional person passing by. You can walk on the beach in either direction anywhere up to the high tide level (usually a bulkhead), but if you hang out, swim or play on the beach, please do that only in front of our beach cottage (to the right of the stairs as you go down) as the beaches are privately owned by our neighbors. There is a separate garage next to the cottage (50’ away behind large evergreens) that is not included in the Airbnb space and that the host may occasionally access while completely respecting your privacy. Quiet, residential neighborhood. Just off 25A with a ten minute drive into downtown Northport, twenty minute drive to Huntington, twenty five minute drive to Port Jefferson. Easy access to all of Long Island and into Manhattan. Five minute drive to Sunken Meadow Parkway. Ten minute drive to the Long Island Railroad Station with a one hour and ten minute train ride into Penn Station. Easy to get to by car, just two miles from the Sagtikos Parkway. Short drive to shopping, restaurants and charming Northport Village. Wifi and cable TV included, fishing pole, sports equipment and games!
