Your tranquil retreat

Peace and quiet, on nine wooded acres, 8 miles from downtown Ithaca. This spacious apartment is ten minutes to Ithaca College and Cornell. This is your home away from home and we want to be sure you're happy! Ithaca is Gorges! Come visit and see why. Please park on the blacktop part of the driveway, toward the brown shed, and leave room for another car next to you. The entrance to the apartment is the red, lower door of the house leading to a concrete slab porch. Let us know if you plan on using the washer or dryer and we'll give you instructions on use. Basic supplies (milk, beer) can be bought at the market in Slaterville Springs on Rte. 79. Everything else you can imagine (pretty much) can be purchased at Wegman's in Ithaca. The Green Star food co-op is a great place to buy organic and bulk foods. We highly recommend Gimme! coffee and Northside Liquors for their great wine selection. If you are interested in hiking, check out the Finger Lakes Trail system. (URL HIDDEN) Shindagin Hollow and Hammond Hill are not too far from where you'll be staying. And you can't leave the area without visiting the gorges! Try Taughannock, Upper Treman and Buttermilk Falls. Check access during winter months. Taughannock is typically accessible all year round. If there is a lot of snow in the forecast, please get in touch and let us know what type of vehicle you'll be using to get here. There is a gravel driveway to the house and we want to be sure you'll have easy access.
