Set on the Anglo-Welsh border, this recently modernised cottage has stunning countryside views and is the perfect setting to relax and unwind. A stone's throw from the famous Offa's Dyke walk, the location is ideal for anyone who wants to enjoy the country lifestyle with great walks, bike rides, wildlife and views on offer. Inside the cottage has recently been renovated with the aim to keep its countryside charm, there is a good size kitchen diner, which has everything you need to cook up that winter warmer or taste of summer. The spacious living room has a large sofa perfect for relaxing with a drink in the evening, it also has our countryside 'viewing spot' (our favourite part of the house) which overlooks the fields, where you can see all the birds enjoy the outside as much as we do. There is also a single chair-bed which can easily sleep a child or adult and a TV in the living room, should you need them. Attached to the living room is the ensuite double bedroom, comprising of a double bed, wardrobe, shower and w/c. At the back of the house are an additional w/c and our 'muddy' entrance/ cloakroom perfect when coming back from those winter walks. Outside, the property shares its grounds with the attached farmhouse which is set in over 200 acres of prime borderland countryside. Where you can enjoy walks through the fields, woodlands, along the brook and even into Wales. There is also ample private parking for up to 3 cars. Located in the quiet countryside you can be forgiven for forgetting that the historic market town of Oswestry is less than 10 mins drive away, which offers a wide range of places to eat, drink and shop. Closer is the local pub at Selattyn (within 2 miles), The Cross Keys is a family run pub serving local drinks and hearty food. If you are looking for more you can get to Shrewsbury (20 miles) which offers a host of charming market roads filled with shops and places to eat/drink. The wonderfully unique Roman city of Chester is also less than 30 miles away from where you can enjoy a walk along the Roman wall and see its famous amphitheater as well as enjoy everything a modern city has to offer. There is a lot of history to see locally which includes: Old Oswestry racecourse(1mile), Oswestry Hillfort(3miles), Whittington Castle (7 miles), Chirk and Trevor (Llangollen) Aqueducts (8 miles), Chirk Castle (8 miles), Erdigg House (14 miles) and Powis Castle (25miles).
