Ivybridge, the nearest town, has an indoor swimming pool, leisure centre, good shopping area and supermarkets. Ivybridge railway station is just one mile from the property with easy connections to Plymouth. The local area is also well served by ample bus connections, visitors can park at the railway station (free all day), with a bus every half hour into Plymouth. There are two lovely beaches within 10 miles, Mothercombe beach and Bigbury-on-Sea, which has a tractor that takes you to Burgh Island in low tides. There is riding available 2 miles away and golf 3 miles, with easy access to St Mellion Golf Club.
