Orchard House is a luxury settlement style homestead set well back from the road. This enticing homestead nestles on private beautifully landscaped acreage. The rate quoted is for 4 adults. There is an extra $40 per night per person for additional guests. On the opposite side of the orchard is Billabong Writer's Cottage which has 3 queen rooms, 1 single and 2 bathrooms and 1 ensuite. A verandah with river views, eclectic furniture, pristine interior, fully equipped kitchen, claw foot bath. The cottage is only available for guests who rent Orchard House and need extra accommodation. There is an additional rate of $380 per night for 4 adults. Extra $40 per night per person for additional guests. Orchard House Enjoy a relaxing spa on a shady wrap-around veranda or dive into the 15 metre lap pool nestled in a beautiful citrus orchard. The homestead is furnished with antiques, original artwork and persian rugs. There are 5 comfortable bedrooms, two Queen rooms, one with ensuite, 1 double and a single plus x2 bunk bed rooms adjoining the double room making it suitable for families with young children. Quality feather quilts, towels and crisp linen is supplied. The eat-in gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with an 8 seater antique table, wood stove, Kleenmaid electric stove, dishwasher, microwave, espresso machine, stereo and much more. The lounge room has the finest wood heater, a sumptuous 6 seater sofa, huge flatscreen TV with Netflix, books, board games, toys, DVD'S, CD'S and formal dining table. A gorgeous bathroom has a claw foot bath, vintage marble-top dresser and shower. Also a separate laundry with washing machine and dryer. The verandah has 6 burner stainless steel barbecue perfect for the Sunday roast, alfresco dining area overlooking the orchard and floodlights to light the garden. Relax by the pool, wander the grounds and enjoy many picturesque secluded spots. Beautiful landscaped property, river views, exceptional birdlife 25 acres of parklike grounds, native trees, flowing creek and dams. Swim in the pool or river in summer or in winter indulge in a hot spa and then cosy up to the wood fire. Each morning collect newly laid eggs from our chickens. The orchard boasts 200 fruit trees fruiting mandarins, oranges and lemonades for your enjoyment during May to October. Cut some fragrant rosemary from our rosemary hedge perfect for roast lamb. Tea, coffee, olive oil, soaps, and washing powder provided. Enjoy peaceful fishing off our private jetty or plunge into the billabong. Keen birdwatchers are likely to see ever present kookaburras, blue wrens, finches, swallows, rosellas, king parrots, wedge tail eagles and ducks and occasionally at dawn and sunset wallabies and kangaroos venture into the garden. The house also has disabled access.
