GARDEN ROOM: NOTE: Only vaccinated people please. Spend the night on this charming small farm. Beautiful view of the gardens, back field and sunset. Visit the sheep and chickens. Use of microwave and fridge if needed. One double bed. Price is for one room only, 1-2 people in room. Full bath next to room. See below for charges for dogs & people. NO CATS! This room can be rented for a weekly rate but please message me for longer stays. Charming room in 90-year old home on small farm. Beautiful views. Sheep, chickens in field and coop out back. Full bed, full bathroom (if there are other guests, you will be sharing). Four miles to the C&O Canal and Potomac River (biking, paddling), 2 miles from Sugarloaf Mountain (hiking). Peaceful setting. If biking on the C&O Canal, I offer shuttle service to my home (when convenient), and breakfast for an additional fee. Grub Hub delivers to my home and there are many dinner options. Listing is for the one room and bathroom (shared bath if Field Room is rented). No indoor common areas but there are two patios and two decks to use. You may use microwave and fridge, but no cooking in kitchen. If driving, there are restaurants within a few miles. Enjoy our local winery 2 miles away near Sugarloaf Mountain or Rocklands Winery 8 miles away. Comus Inn is 2 miles away with fun, casual atmosphere, dining and games. Miles of trails on Sugarloaf Mountain for hiking or cross country skiing. The Monocacy and Potomac Rivers are just 3 miles away for kayaking or walking along the C&O Canal. Historic Frederick is 15 miles away, Gettysburg Battlefield is 30 miles, Harper's Ferry is 25 miles. I am an avid cyclist and can recommend many routes for road biking and mountain biking. Maps available on request. I have a bike stand, most tools, bike pump, grease, etc. Bike storage available. I have another room (Field Room) if you need more lodging. Double bed for 1-2 people. Additional people (kids) $10 each. I also have an air mattress for an additional charge of $10 that can be put in the room. Please inquire about a dog staying. No cats please. If bringing a dog, dogs are not allowed on furniture or beds. If you leave during the day or evening, the dog must accompany you. $10 fee per dog. NO CATS! No long term stays (month) but inquire about weekly. More than a few days really depends on what is happening at certain times of the year. Limited kitchen facilities (microwave, fridge, toaster) , patio with great views, C&O Canal, Potomac River, Sugarloaf Mountain. Shop in my studio for hand dyed yarns, jewelry, art and wearables, candles soap. I will be available for all your hosting needs. Excellent biking opportunities, hiking, paddling. Winery 3 miles away. Sugarloaf Mountain 3 miles away. Popular biking destination. Mountain biking 8 miles away. My home is located in the Agricultural Reserve in Maryland, a land use and open space area with beautiful views of fields and farms. It's very peaceful and quiet. I'm only 2 miles from Sugarloaf Mountain which has great hiking trails. The C&O Canal is 3 miles away for biking, hiking and kayaking. Since I am only 4 miles from the C&O Canal, I offer a bike shuttle from and to the Canal for $10 each way. I also offer dinner ($18) and breakfast ($10) for an additional fee. But you must let me know at least 2 days ahead of time if you would like a shuttle or meals as I have to plan ahead. For bicyclists on the C&O Canal, we can pick up and transport. The only public transport out here is the Marc train during the week. Nice for travelers commuting into the city. NOTE: Only vaccinated people please. Take a weekend getaway to the countryside! Idea. . .hop on your bike in Georgetown at the beginning of the C&O Canal. Bike 42 miles to the Mouth of Monocacy Bridge. I will pick you up along with your bike, transport you 3 miles to my home/farm, feed you dinner & breakfast (additional fees) then take you back to the C&O where you can leisurely bike back to Georgetown or continue on up the trail. Fun!!!!
