Motor boats not permitted, so the lake is clean and quiet. Nearby state park with hiking trails. Excellent bicycling territory. Winter cross-country skiing. Located only ten minutes from the lovely hilltowns of Ashfield and Williamsburg and only twenty minutes from Northampton, you'll have numerous opportunities for both nature and culture. The house is new, with new appliances, and is fully outfitted for pleasant meals indoors or out on the deck or in the backyard, which has fireplace. Your hosts live nearby and will be happy to answer questions or respond if there is a problem, but you'll have privacy during your stay. The house has close and friendly neighbors on either side, but the beach and dock is for your private use. Rowboat and rowing shell available on request for your use. Excellent walking trails from the house in nearby state forest. Many restaurants, shops, museums, theatres in range of 10-30 minutes drive.
