Room to Rent in a Peaceful Private Home (Clifton NJ) in a quiet location away from the hustle of NYC but a 20-minute drive into NYC. The 2.2-mile run/hike next door at Park and Reservation. Green Space, lots of trees, space, and nature nearby. Minutes walking to Horseback Rides, 20 minutes to Times Square by car or bus, 55 Minutes to Sandy Hook Beach, and 10 minutes to Met Life stadium and the American Dream Mall, including concerts and sports attractions. You need a car to live here. SMOKE FREE-No smoking or drinking anywhere on the property. Air Conditioning and Heat included. Fully furnished bedrooms, clean, bright, and quiet, closet, queen size firm bed, one window plenty of light, easy access to kitchen and bathroom, dresser for clothing, and a desk/table. FREE Wi-Fi in the home the password is on the Fridge, Free street parking in a residential neighborhood. If you like to garden, you are welcome to use the land. I will be home and available for interaction. I have a home office in the house and work most days in it. Quiet street in a safe neighborhood. You must be employed, cannot work from home, and have a COVID-19 safe job, and be vaccinated. I will run a background check. This is a month-to-month rental long-term if the situation is working out well. The Master Bedroom and Garage are off limits. You must keep the bathroom and kitchen CLEAN. You have access to a small shelf in the kitchen to store your food one shelf not a large space. Guests may use the Kitchen and cookware, Shared Bath, Outdoor Deck, Backyard, Dining Room, Living Room and Downstairs Den. The pool may only be used when I am home and you must sign a waiver first. I have installed indoor cameras in the shared spaces and updated my entire system. Indoor and outdoor everything in common areas will now be on camera secured by a surveillance company, since items in my home have gone missing. I will not hesitate to notify local authorities or Airbnb. I will give you space or engage, its your choice. The Best thing about my home is; close to NYC, with major highways and yet you feel as if you are in the country living on a mountaintop with a view of NYC. I love the state park next door and walk in it daily with my dog. It's calm and quiet here you will feel like you are living in a retreat house. The street is very safe, there are 4 homes on the block as the house is located on a cul de sac. You have to drive up a steep hill to get here, so you MUST have a car. The view of NYC is amazing from my home. The wildlife here is beautiful and diverse. It's very impressive for living so close to NYC but feel like you are in the country. You have access to all the major highways rt80, rt3, rt46, NJ Turnpike, and NJ Parkway. I have been a super host for many years and really care about your stay, comfort, and well being. There are some rules to follow but nothing extreme. I look forward to hosting you! You must have a car to stay here. Not Uber! Things to Consider: Laundromat is a few minutes away by car. You may NOT use the laundry room. Grocery store nearby must have a car. Stop and Shop, shop and Trader Joe's all 5 minutes by car; There is a cleared area in Kitchen to store your food. I don't cook or prepare breakfast. You may cook and use my dishes. New York City is 20 Minutes by car, there is a bus to NYC (with no traffic it takes 20 minutes). The walk downhill is a little steep but can be done to get the bus. You must have a car to get around from my home. Shared bath and shared kitchen, each person is required to keep Kitchen & bathroom clean. Small Dog lives in the house, hypoallergenic, he is an amazing, lovable dog...he will never bite, he does bark (not too much). If you come home late entering quietly will help...If you don't let the door click, he may not notice. I am allergic to every animal on the planet because he is a poodle it's the only kind of dog that I am NOT allergic to he is groomed monthly. He does not go in the bedrooms unless you want him there. If I am free, I could provide transportation to Newark airport for $30. You must clean your sheets at the laundromat. YOU MUST keep your room clean. One person per room in the household, no guests. If the garbage is full, please bring it out. Buddha (my dog) does use a pad when indoors and it will be cleaned as soon as I see it. Keep the bathroom doors closed. I do not prepare breakfast, I have Celiacs disease and must be very careful with my food, but I do not place restrictions and you are welcome to cook, as long and clean up right after and put your dishes away. My home is rather quaint, earthy and homelike, and I do like it kept neat. If you use the stove, you must clean it. You may NOT rent movies on my tv. I am not comfortable with Uber drivers coming around all the time, and my neighbors are not as well. As a shared space we must all do our part to keep the kitchen clean. 1. Always wash your dishes and put them away. 2. Always wipe down the stove after you cook. 3. Sweep the floor after you cook, do not leave crumbs on the kitchen floor, this is a problem with ants. 4. If you use the oven, you must clean it as well. 5. If you use the toaster, you must clean the crumbs after. 6. The filtered water is a shared expense; please contribute your portion based on your usage. 7. The countertops must be cleaned, EVERY time you cook in the kitchen. Often I found spilled food on the countertops, and this attracts ants. 8. The kitchen table must be wiped down if use the table. 9. If you use any kitchen items, cups, napkins, paper towels and spices, please make sure you leave replacements. 10. Do not take up more than your share of space in the fridge; each housemate needs room for their food. 11. When using the microwave, there is a plastic cover, place it over your food and clean it after each use. 12. If the garbage in the kitchen is full, please take it out, there are pales in front of the house. 13. Break down all boxes, and I will bring them to be recycled, leave in the kitchen. 14. Put all Plastic Bottles in recycle bin in the kitchen. 15. Do Not Put Food in Kitchen (throw in garbage) sink because of Septic Tank. 16. ALWAYS clean food from sink/drain, please do not leave it in the drain. Thank you and I Hope you have a great Stay!
