The apartment is lower level of a 3 story house with no shared living spaces. There is private entrance, garden and deck. This artisan living space, nestled in the woods, features hand crafted stone and beam construction. A hikers paradise just a short walk from Norvin Green State Park and the trailhead of High Point Mountain, which boasts spectacular views of NYC and the parklands. A great get-away space to relax, enjoy nature and unwind. No smoking environment, inside and out. Handcrafted wood detailing and stone arches make the house an utterly unique environment. A kitchen/living room, large bedroom, bathroom with shower, separate jacuzzi tub with skylight and additional sleeping loft with skylight views for stargazing. A private deck overlooks the surrounding woods. Part of the charm of the area is the occasional appearance of deer, rabbits, wild turkeys and plentiful birds. There is a queen bed with a new memory foam mattress and fresh pillows, a TV with ROKU access to Netflix, Amazon and Hulu. A 10 minute drive from the beautiful Monksville Reservoir which has kayaks and paddle boards available for rent when in season. No smoking allowed in the house or yard. Not encouraged for guests seeking nightlife hot spots. A perfect spot for hikers and those seeking respite from urban life. The entire lower level is available to our guests with the exception of a closed utility room and adjacent swedish sauna. Please note that cell signal can be weak depending on your provider. While the guest space is entirely private the upper levels of the house are inhabited by the host. With respect to the peaceful nature of the home and environment, it is requested after 9pm guests keep loud noises to a reasonable minimum. Please read complete listing before booking! The rain fed pond is home to fish and frogs who will occasionally sing out at night.
