Three Tuns is a character end terrace Victorian cottage, that was originally the village pub. Under new ownership in 2021, the cottage has been tastefully updated to create comfortable, modern living while still retaining lots of cottage character and charm with latch doors and wooden floors. This is a well cared for and much-loved cottage that will appeal to walkers, cyclists, families, couples and friends.Tastefully furnished throughout with quality fixtures and fittings, on the ground floor there's a modern, well-equipped fitted kitchen, and a very pleasant spacious sitting room with comfy sofas and separate dining area. There's also a twin bedroom, with en-suite wet room, ideal for children or anyone with mobility issues who might find the steep stairs a trifle difficult. Upstairs on the first floor there is a king-size bedroom and separate bathroom. Three Tuns has lovely views of this pretty village from all windows, as well as a good-sized, private west facing garden to laze in on sunny days, a gated private driveway with parking for two to three cars, as well as a garage providing safe storage for bikes. Great Walsingham is an ancient and peaceful North Norfolk village, with an award-winning pie maker and cafe, gallery, craft centre and gift shop. It's nearby 'sister village' of Little Walsingham (a medieval wonder that is well worth a visit) is easily reached on foot, and has a renowned farm shop, pubs, restaurants and cafes. Just four miles inland from the popular coastal resort of Wells-next-the-Sea and its neighbouring village, Stiffkey, you are very well placed for exploring the wonderful Norfolk coast, as well as the many delightful rural villages. Ground Floor: Kitchen A barn door from the garden takes you into the modern fitted kitchen with electric oven and induction hob, extractor hood, slimline dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave and fridge with ice box. Sitting room with dining area A bright, spacious, attractive room with a two squashy sofas set either side the electric stove. There is a coffee table, bookshelves stocked with books and widescreen television.. The dining area, set at the other end of the room, with dining table and seating for four guests, has handy access to the kitchen. Bedroom 2 With 3' twin beds, hairdryer, armchair, chest of drawers and door hooks with hangers. Views of the garden and village green beyond. En-suite shower room A fully tiled wet room with electric shower, wall mounted seat, wash basin, WC and heated towel rail. Front hallway A tiled inner lobby handy for storing coats and wellies. First Floor: Very steep stairs Landing A roomy landing with sofa is a peaceful spot for reading and relaxing. Master bedroom With 5' king-size bed, two chests of drawers, armchair, hairdryer and television. There is a wardrobe outside the room on the landing area. Family bathroom With a bath, wash basin, WC and heated towel rail. Outside: The spacious, enclosed garden is mostly laid to lawn, with flower borders, and has two separate seating areas. There is a table and chairs and a charcoal barbecue. A generous gravelled parking area within the garden has space for up to three cars. Bikes can be safely stored in the garage. Additional Information One well-behaved dog welcome (small additional charge). Norfolk Winder stairs are, as with older character cottages, enclosed, steep, curved and narrow. Here they are carpeted with a hand rail on one side only. Access Note: There is a grab rail and wall-mounted seat in the ground floor wet room.
